Regarding the Name Change of SQOOL GAME AWARD and Future Schedule

We are pleased to announce that the name of this game award "SQOOL GAME AWARD" has been changed to "SHIBA GAME AWARD" as of today, September 17, 2025.
SQOOL GAME AWARD is an online game award established in 2019 by the editorial department of the game media "SQOOL.NET Game Laboratory" with the aim of supporting game creators, and is held twice a year.
This online game award is not necessarily about recognizing excellent games or commercially successful games, but rather operates with the policy of recognizing game titles and game creators that we "want to support." The award has continued to grow in scale with each iteration, and the previous "SQOOL GAME AWARD 2025 SUMMER" received 131 game title entries from around the world.
This name change is intended to operate this award not as an event of a single company called SQOOL, but as a Japanese game award where games from around the world gather.
SHIBA GAME AWARD is scheduled to hold its first event after the name change as "SHIBA GAME AWARD 2025 WINTER," with entry acceptance scheduled to begin on October 1, 2025.
November 2025: First round selection and second round preliminary results announcement
December 6, 2025: YouTube live broadcast introducing final selection grand prize titles
December 2025: Grand prize and various awards announcement
